The firm advised on the first issue of Bulgarian equity-linked bonds. The issue comrpised up to EUR 80 million worth of exchangeable bonds, issued by Chimimport AD, the second-largest listed company in Bulgaria by market capitalization. Chimimport was the first Bulgarian corporation to offer equity-linked bonds outside Bulgaria. UniCredit Market & Investment Banking (acting through Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank) acted as the sole underwriter on the transaction. Borislav Boyanov & Co. acted as the Bulgarian legal advisor to UniCredit Market & Investment Banking, UniCredit Bulbank as a Local Agent and The Bank of New York Mellon as a Trustee for the Bondholders.
